there is also a bug in the newest nvidia drivers, they may say(in the games profiles section of the cp) that they have defaulted to single gpu when in fact they are using the custom sli setting, go to sli forums to read about it.

don't listen to anyone that says that cpu is holding you back it isn't ...period. Only thing those faster cpu's do is give bigger epeens for 3dmark. In games a quad core at 3.6ghz is only .2 % faster than a x2 6000+ at 1920 x 1200 rez, check it out at firing squad.com they have a good article...

Lets put it this way, i have 2 8800 gtx's in sli and i am still bottlenecked by my video cards in most games i play, crysis, cod4 etc. If i drop my rez down to 1280 etc i get better frames which means im gpu bound not cpu bound.

i don't have a 680i motherboard but sli was the only way to go for me. A 1920 x1200 rez i couldnt put aa on in many games with a single gtx now i can crank it and all is well. Its really a eye candy and rez thing if you don't use alot of aa and high rez pass on it.
