I have the GD04 and it fits a 5770 easily. I like the look, it is the perfect match for my home theater setup. It looks just like my receiver.
I think the 5870 is a little longer. The case could accommodate a half inch or maybe even an inch easily (haven't opened it up in a while) but I...
Its a 125W TDP. I ordered the Zalman since it is the biggest one that'll fit in the case. Think it'll be enough to cool the CPU while being quieter than the stock cooler?
Yeah, it looks great on paper, but I've heard that some people have problems with overheating as it is made for a 95w proc. I read one site that also recommended the Zalman CNPS8700 but the reviews said it is really loud. Anything that falls in between the two?
(here's hoping!)
Hey all-
I am building a new HTPC with some gaming functions. With the help of a friend, I was able to jump on Fry's Phenom 965 BE + mobo deal for under $180. I know it's overkill for a HTPC, but I figured it was a good deal and could provide some future-proofing for games later on.
I've...
Well, I got "escalated" to a 2nd level tech, who is sending me a new power cord. I have no idea what a new power cord would do, but I suppose it is worth a try. I have also tried moving the monitor to a differrent room and hooking it up to just my laptop, but it is doing the same thing.
Sigh...
Hey guys,
Last week, I bought a new Samsung 225bw (22" widescreen) and it buzzed -- quite loudly -- every time I turned the brightness below 100%. (the noise started around 80%). OK, I thought, its a defective product... I called Sammy and they sent me a new monitor. I bring the monitor out...
Hey all,
I've a question about the relative performance of the x300 and the 9600. My university sells IBM rigs, albiet with limited configurations, at substantial discounts. Right now, I can buy a T42 with a mobility 9600 and 64megs of RAM, or I can (with some difficulty) wait a month for the...
I like it, but I really can't justify the cost. Again, if I were to buy those, I might as well have gotten the Z-680s with hardware decoding and just spared myself the trouble of all this. So back to square one I guess: can the extra cost of the audigy be justified for a regular college kid?
Hey,
I'm a college student on a budget, and am trying to get a 5.1 surround sound system up. I've already bought the Logitech X-530s, with which I'm quite pleased, as they fill up the dorm room nicely (no need for 400+ watts or anything like that). I got a Starlogic external USB solution, but...
