Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

haha yeah. that heatsink is quite hefty. I'll move it over to the X99 setup when I'm ready to upgrade but for now, it would be too much for the X58 setup.
Right. the X5675 is around 3x the price of the X5650, and though it's binned higher its not necessarily guaranteed to clock higher, but to each his own.
Out with the new and in with the old.
Sorry for the lack of a before pic. In anticipation of X99 I replaced my Asrock X79 Professional board and i7 3820 with a P6T Deluxe V2 and Xeon X5650 to hold me over while I wait for DDR4 prices to go down. Thee X5650 @ 4ghz beats out my 3820 @ 4.3ghz in...
As of right now, a 4ghz x56XX will beat out even a stock 4790k in multithreaded benchmarks. Is it just me or does it seem like it would take Intel at least 3 or 4 more years before their quad cores beat out these 6 cores? It almost seems plausible but crazy to think that CPUs that are almost 5...
Thanks for the reply. My QPI and UCLK are BOTH at 3600mhz. They are technically set to Auto but the motherboard automatically readjusts QPI to 7200MT/s and Uncore to 3600mhz. I just didn't bother to post a screenshot of my memory tab showing the NB frequency at 3600mhz.
Thanks for the reply...
I just got my X5650 in.
4ghz IBT stable @ 1.2v! (20x200)
12gb (6x2GB) Kingston ECC DDR3-1333 CL8 @ DDR3-1200 CL7 (It drops a stick if I try to OC the ECC RAM to 1600mhz)
P6T Deluxe V2 Bios 1202
Zalman CNPS 10X Single Fan Air Cooler
Everything in my bios is set to Auto except CPU...
I am willing to buy a pair of matching 7970's. I don't care what brand. Reference design is preferred but not necessary. I would prefer that they be able to reach 1050mhz or higher, and must be able to reach 1ghz minimum.
I am offering $450 shipped for a pair. Heatware under novadaemon.

TigerDirect has the H70 core for $44.99 After a $20 MIR. I personally think it's a damn good price for that cooler.
I'm running dual 7870's and I was having so many problems with 12.6 that I was in the process of selling my cards. 12.8 fixed the issues from what I can tell, and I'll be holding onto them for now.
