I have a Cooler Master ATCS 840 case also. Its a very big case. Lots of potential with this case. Nice build you have there.

I prefer WASD as there are buttons surround it it that can be useful.

Give iFixit.com a try. Its expensive but good quality products. I've ordered a glass for my iPhone 3G and it was identical to the glass on my 3G. iFixit also have good step by step tutorials on taking apart your iTouch.

I see no difference using a mouse pad and my desk. I'm not a fan of mouse pads. I can't find the right size.

Yes the Nexus One can do it all. It can do all the things you pointed out. Its your all in one device.
