    Public transit isn't magically free to build and operate. You have to pay for it, one way or another. Edit: the local trains in Japan are pretty inexpensive to ride, 200-350 yen. But the Shinkansen is 11k to 15k yen.

    I would consider it a possibility that the use of any of these AI services *could* be a supply chain risk, but I do agree that singling out Anthropic and barring only them completely from any governmental use is a bit of a reach and unfair. I think I agree with the judge on this one.

    Looks like someone took a hacksaw to the heatsink. I think that's a cutout in the backplate, exposing some features on the back of the board. Unless it's definitely covering the whole board? Edit: it is a little bent out near the rear io though.

    AI tax makes sense. Tipping AI seems retarded to me. The AI isn't being paid, the company is. Therefore, the tip does not provide the AI any incentive to do better. Rather, it gives the AI an excuse for doing worse, since it isn't being paid sub minimum wage like workers who receive tips.
