Hi all!
So i have two questions:
1) I have a setup that im really happy with, runs smooth (5 years now! cant believe it), but some of the newest synths are getting quite crazy in terms of CPU usage. sometimes a single instance of a VST can use 40% of CPU.. basically, i'd like to nudge up...
sorry, should have said this: i get the blue screen a few seconds after the 'starting windows' bit comes up..
do i have to format and reinstall everything?
hi
so i hooked everything up.. was working great..
i then updated the BIOS through the asus update utility and since then i get a blue screen when i turn the computer on.. i never touched anything else.. no overclocking or anything.
i tried to install older bios but it doesnt let me...
aaaah. jesus. stop the condescending nonsense.. i know what im doing software wise..
just help me put the god damn computer together.. i dont need lessons on what to do with my music system..
audiomulch is really excellent for creating complex electronic systems, with standard audio...
great. thanks for the pic.. i did indeed flip it over so the writing is right side up.. thats quite a mistake to keep in the manual.
do you have bigger pic by any chance? id like to see how you hooked up the fans.
so the p6t has 3 fan headers.. but whats the difference between chassis and power fan? there are the 3 pin headers on the motherboard, but the fans in the case came with the 4 pin molex connectors.. do i connect the fans to the motherboard, or to the PSU? and which fan goes to which connector...
hi
so i installed the cooler master v8 as instructed in the manual.. it is upside down.
is this right? definitely looks like this in the instructions, but when i looked at some other system pics i saw that it was right side up?
which is correct?
yes i understand.. but im not using cubase.. im using audiomulch, and sometimes i have 64 channels of audio open simultaneously.. audiomulch is a modular environment, so theres a lot more live processing than a cubase project.. theres no 'tracks' at all. its completely different.
plus, right...
hi everyone
so the stuff is coming monday, and im hoping i can get some help with overclocking.. is there a resource online that i can go to? i really have no idea what im doing in terms of overclocking, so anything would be great help.
yes, i understand.. maybe not a good idea, though i dont plan on doing it without some pretty serious help, be it online or a friend. i dont know anything really about overclocking, but the little i have read does not seem too complicated.
also, the TI firewire i know all about, sadly...
