Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
What's a good price for a GTX 1080 that was used as a miner for about a year? It seems to be roughly on par (little worse) than a 2070, which sets the upper bar at 500 bucks or so (incidentally, the 1080's old MSRP). eBay has them for all over the place so it's hard to get a good bead on them...
You know, it's the weirdest thing. These Steelseries 4H headphones have lasted the longest of any headset I've ever had, and they've also been the cheapest, both on sale AND off. I'm quite convinced durability and price aren't linked, and instead it's highly random. Also, most of the reviews...
Well I'm sorry you've convinced yourself you need a 60+ dollar sound card to go with your 200+ dollar headphones, but I just play games and don't really care ;)
So I have a SteelSeries 4H headset that I got on Woot for about 13 bucks, lasted around 5 years. Love these things, but the left earpiece is finally dying on me. I think it's about time to upgrade anyway, so I look for a thread about headphones. I find this one and it goes from "What should I...
Does anyone know what a decent temperature is for a Haswell proc? I was playing with the "default" vs. "ASUS Optimized" settings in the BIOS for automatic overclocking. The optimized ones set it up to turbo up to 4.2GHz, and under my "normal" load (i.e. lots of games), it can hover anywhere up...
I went from an old K9A2 Platinum mobo, 4 gigs of DDR2 800MHz RAM and a Phenom II 940 to a Z87-A mobo, 16 gigs of DDR3 1600MHz RAM and a 4670k processor.
I can't post concrete numbers, but it's a silly improvement. Windows boots about twice as fast or more (caveat: might be from the SSD being...
Hey, everyone. I've had an SSD for a while, and I never really stopped to take a look to see what was writing to it, how often and for what reason, so I finally opened up ProcMon to take a look. CCC.exe shows an alarming number of writes, almost all of them little 4KB writes to...
I notice the base clocks are normal now that I'm back on 12.1 (a lot lower than even the 5850 was, but hey), but that doesn't explain why they were a) almost continuously changing with the 12.3 driver and b) why games decided to go haywire with them and start stuttering like it was their job...
I just upgraded from the 12.1 drivers to the 12.3 drivers using the auto-updater in the CCC. I noticed that everything is suddenly behaving very strangely, like when starting Space Pirates and Zombies the splash menu is very laggy, and the game itself tends to stutter and slow down a lot...
Hey, don't lump all the miners in together. I'm doing it on my main machine, which has a couple of 5850s in it. Not like I bought some silly machine to do it :<
I think people have to actually play a game to have AMD work on profiles.
Also, I for one welcome our new Red Faction Armageddon Crossfire overlords, considering how piss-poor Crossfire worked in RF:G
