    5870 PSU

    Everyone is greatly overestimating power needs. I run a Corsair HX520 q6600 o/c to 3.0ghz 5870 6 hdd's No problem running 3 monitor eyefinity at 5040x1050.

    ati 5770...cant install drivers!

    I recently changed from a 3870 to 5870. When I switched the cards and booted up win7, the ati catalyst thing said I had no adapter. So I installed 10.7 and rebooted and it worked fine. Press F8 before windows boots and try last known good. Then reinstall the driver.

    Take a picture of the bluescreen (cellphone camera). It should show an ID number for the driver crashing.

    Anyone playing Bad Company 2 with an HD 3870?

    I have q6600 3870 4gb ram Bad company 2 at 1680x1050 is pretty damn choppy on this card at higher quality settings (not fsaa, just textures high, etc). Dropping to 1440x900 gives a massive boost but looks crap if that's not your native res.

    Dell 2209WA vs 2007FP

    I have both monitors here. The 2007fpw is more uniform, shifts less when view angle changes and has deeper blacks. I'm still debating whether or not to keep the 2209wa.
