My Pimax 4k has no SDE. It's input is 1440p upscaled to 4k to eliminate SDE. Since it's 1440p, my GTX980 4gb can drive elite dangerous on max settings at full fps at only 70% cpu usage. Sure you can't lead around hte cockpit, but are you really doing that? I use my head motion only and it works...
Pimax 4k hands down. I have 3 monitors on one GTX980, and my pimax one a second GTX980. Elite Dangerous is brilliant on it, and they're cheaper than everything else. Depending on what type of titles you're after, though, it doesn't support position tracking, but is perfect for cockpit games like...
I have a pimax 4k, and I love it. I play ED with it, and 10 year ago me's dream. There's no SDE, no dizziness, and the quality of the graphics is fantastic. It's normal price is $400, but you can get it cheaper. 4k is 2k per eye, and although it's actually 1440p input upscaled to 4k, you really...
Everything I've thrown at it has worked great with minimal tweaking. I'm driving it with a GTX980 4gb card and it has been going full speed. I have one GPU dedicated to the headset and another 980 on my 3 displays. Steam has a way to filter out the hand sticks to only use...
There are slight compatability issues with some steam stuff. It doesn't seem to know where you're looking at startup, and menu's will show up either 90 degrees to the left or right. Typically they're easy to re-center though. I don't know if this is a device in general issue, or just this.
I've never done the vr thing before. I was honestly looking at buying a 40" 4k curved monitor but instead decided on this. I thought "this will be better!". This is not really the same thing. They're not comparable. One does not replace the other.
That being said, I can honestly say I don't...
Loaded up and running with an E5 2650L v2 QS cpu. everything is cranking. rock solid stability and no issues at all. been pounding it with different tests and it hasn't skipped a beat. I love hte ddr3 ecc ram, it's so cheap.
Here's the sys info: https://hastebin.com/cumoqixojo.sql

asus x79 sabertooth is $479, there's another for $405. The rest on amazon are out of stock. Ebay has very limited stock as well, and lots are used and still very expensive.
This board is awesome. It's so fast it's rediculious, and 100% stable without issue at all. 32gb server ram for $40 and a $65 10core xeon QS cpu. No SLI support, so eh. But everything else works flawlessly. I initially tested it with my E5 2660v2 and it worked great, but there was no SLI...

He claims it supports ECC as well as SLI, and will take hte e5 v2's. And is not $600. It's a generic, there's some russian videos of it, but I don't speak russian. It seems to good to be true, but I'm super...
I have the two cards, I want to know if I can SLI them. They're both 4gb models. My board won't boot with both of them in, so I can't test it. If they will SLI together I'll look at buying a new board, but don't want to buy a new one if it won't work.
