    False alarm on the video card, i was just impatient, or switching around helped, it took a while to get started. Changing XHCI from AUTO to ENABLED seemed to work, i am installing right now. There is a newer bios available, but manufacturer doesn't recommend updating unless there are issues...

    In other thread guy had only integrated card so he was recommended to try igfx, and i removed my card for the hell of it and used the same settings and it works, try unbuntu worked for the first time, now i have to figure out what all this means.

    With XHCI mode enabled instead of auto, mini xp always loads but always freezes on the desktop when it loads.

    I have my suspicions too, but i have no way to swap it out for test, can you explain ? Can anyone back this ? Should i attempt to update bios ? It's a brand new board, with 3 years of warranty, and 14 days of return policy, which is good until wednesday, so tuesday is last day i could tell...
