With 2 in SLI running 702/1404/2448 (1224 DDR) I hit the mid 80s in with Crysis running 2560x1600 with all the eye candy...
The fans certainly kick up. From everything I've read, they can take it. The TDP is pretty high on these things...
If you are planning on ever gaming at 2560x1600, you need everything you can get. I have 2 GTX-280s in SLI at 2560 running 702/1404/2448(1224 DDR)...I can crank everything to the max in Crysis, but with no AA, and even there it dips below 30FPS...
Everything else is another story. It sails...
