Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Though this might seem contradictory, I have had a few EVGA cards crap out on me, however, EVGA has been VERY easy and fast on the RMA, not to mention the free upgrades. Bought an 7800GT in '05, it started failing about 2 years later, it was swiched out for an 8800GT. About 2 years later, that...
Thanks all for the posts.
@rdqlus - i have always been an EVGA fan, specifically for their warranties. I originally purchased an 8800 GT, which broke 2 years later and they gave me a 9800 GT in its place, which then broke about 3 years later and they switched out for my current 450 GTS...
I will just reiterate what was already posted. Currently have an AMD X2 Athlon with a 5450 and my receiver currenlty does not decode HD. I will tell you that my HTPC set up sounds WAY better than my PS3 hooked to the same system playing a Blu-ray disc.
To stall or not to stall? This is a graphics card question.

I am unsure if I want to stall for NVidia's next set of 3.0 Cards. The...
I apologize if this is a basic question. It has been a while since my last build and this time I am preparing for an SLI build in the near future. I have a few questions:
Do the 2 cards need to be the identical cards (i.e. same model number) or simply the same model (i.e. GTX 580)?
With...
Though i have experience building a computer, it was some time ago. I am no expert and can only go off of other people's comments. Here is an example of a Zotac and Gygabyte board that both had a lack of AHCI support through SATA. They could be wrong, but I just need to find out for sure how...
I am currently trying to build a inexpensive <$500 HTPC with the current build below. The problem is that i am thinking of using a SSD as the main HDD for both sound and speed benefits. However, I am a little new to the AHCI interface and the benefits as well. I have come to the conclusion...
I currently have a Dell laptop with an x600 radeon card. I aquired a second monitor and with my setup require to use vertical setup. however, when i put that mode on with the card, the monitor on my laptop is only half the size centered in the screen. Any ideas how to fix would be greatly...
So i have Vista 32 bit, 8800GTS and right now no HD tv. We have a regular tv with S-video. When we hook up the TV we get an image but its B/W. How do we get color? I have looked all over the internet and nvidia website and have not been able to find anything. Any help would be most...
I have been looking for this case for a while. the CM media 280 is a very cool case for a media center i am building. This is not to be confused with the 281 which does not have the digital readout. This is one of 3 pieces of my media center i have left to puchase. Any help would be greatly...
I have currently purchased the intel package with the DG965WH intel board. Ive heard that it has a problem with ram thats not 2 Volts even....is this correct or would this ram work? When i checked on the site i did not find that info
Should i be worried that almost every review for this says that both drives are very loud and a lot were DOA or at least died in the first couple months
Im looking for a mid line video card for a media center i am currently building. I currently do not have a high def tv but will probably get one in the future. However, i do not need a HDCP card for now. I will upgrade this card to something with HDCP when I upgrade my tv. So that being...
Yeah. In my findings i did find that the 1705 was the best bet thus far but my knowledge is pretty limited to hp and dell. The 17'' screen, though more expensive is actually a necessity. I guess when it comes down to it, are those really my best option. Are there any other Sites that are good...
