If the universe is infinite (not known) than the observable universe might only constitute a tiny fraction of it. Why do we generalize the observable expansion of galaxies to apply to the entire universe, perhaps largely unseen, which for all we know could contain multiple big...
no, the point was how to get music off an iPod since the main music library was lost when a drive failed. I think it turns out to be easy to get the music back from an iPod, but getting the artwork back is a different matter.
thanks for the great suggestions...in the end I just copy and pasted everything on the ipod to my hard drive (F00, F01 etc) as a kind of ipod backup, and am listening to music on the ipod through itunes, managing music manually.

So I now have one copy of my music on an external HDD and one on my iPod which I carry with me ( an "offsite copy"). To back it up on DL DVD would take 15+ discs, and would be a hassle. But ur right it would probably a good project for a free day.
Um, the Creative Zen is a...
Thanks for the link. I decided to buy another external HDD (not Seagate!) and used the technique I posted. It preserves the music and id3 tags but not the album art when importing into iTunes. That probably could be hacked further but I'm calling it a day. For now.

I made the mistake of keeping my entire music collection on an external hard disc drive which is suddenly now in the process of dying. It doesn't work in long enough intervals to transfer the whole library over to a new drive so I was thinking of just ripping the music from my...
good point. I don't know. I have thousands of songs...ugh. my gut feeling is that this will totally ruin my collection (and my day) but if anyone has done something similar and succeeded, I would like to know...
I found the following procedure online. I do not know if works. If anyone has succeeded in getting their music off their ipod onto a new PC using this technique (or any other free way) please let me know. Thanks!!
1. Step 1
The first thing you want to do is connect your ipod to your...
When this happens, a flag should go up at the company; any computer can tell when usage charges are extraordinary, and they should have the courtesy to alert the consumer. Even credit card companies alert the holder if unusual charges are seen.
But they don't do this.
So I say....I...
what if you make a long rod 200k miles in length. if it were perfectly stiff and you rotated(twisted) it, wouldn't that transmit information faster than the speed of light? just wondering.
I have visited PI three times; as a child, in high school, and just 3 years ago. Nothing beats the food there, and the people are happy and friendly. Good times...;)
