Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Kyle - Using "gaming benchmarks" for CPU testing is broken in its current state. What worked a decade ago, does not work now to show anything applicable to gaming performance as it once did. It does not work any more to reflect any sort of real world benefits.
Firing Squad - The fact of the...
The 7950 although impressive, simply was not ready for launch. The customer suffers so already rich gaming vendors can make more money, and Nvidia can beat ATI in benchmarks again. :(
I can't believe everyone is still arguing about which card is better. Both cards are excellent. There is no clear cut winner. Both cards have their advantages. To say that one particular card is better in a game because it's 5 fps faster is dumb because you are very unlikely to see any visual...
You might gain a little bit on both the core and memory but the increase will not translate into a viewable difference. Meaning, don't bother its not worth the risk. In gaming if you cant see a difference, there is no difference.
Oh I agree. But the difference is negligable to me and doesn't warant the cost of dual card setups. Factor in the cost of a new motherboard, probably a new processor, and a bigger power supply and your spending upwards of $2000+ for a few extra frames per second and slightly higer IQ.
I am...
Yawn, You didn't clarify anything. I just simplified what tearing was. Go back to trolling the Beyond 3d forums.
Yea you can force tripple buffering but that tripples the amount of framebuffer memory used. Tearing is a problem, more so with dual card rigs and LCD monitors.
I didn't think I would have to explain visual tearing to you. Perhaps I rushed my above comment and didnt explain it enough for you. Anytime your graphics cards are rendering more frames per second than your monitor can handle tearing occurs. With Dual card rigs it is even more prevalent, simply...
Just under 1% of total users. Thanks for backing up my statement. SLI and Crossfire = Novelty setups. One shouldnt have to buy two videocards to get good permance in games. If SLI -> Crossfire is your only point when most people dont use it. Don't waste our time anymore and leave these forums...
Although I won't argue against the fact that few have Crossfire. But Many have SLI?? Both are novelty setups. Dual card computers represent a tiny percentage of gaming rigs. Thats the way it should always be in my opinion. Although I prefer gaming on a computer, spending 1,000 + dollars just on...
Yawn, I see your still at it. Your as bad as Rollo. Why dont you leave our forums and go spread your Nvidia propoganda elsewhere. Your bias is undeniable.
