Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
We all want lower prices, so it seems natural to suggest cutting out kickstarter's fees, but I believe it makes crowd funding a legal nightmare for small businesses?
The C7 without any modifications is really loud (but performs quite well). I swapped the fan with the Noctua 14mm one and it works okay, still quite audible after gaming for a while though - I am still considering getting shorter motherboard stand-offs...
I've got a SF450 and a EVGA 970 SSC - my PSU does not even spin up during most loads, so you definitely had a faulty SF450 - it's been said many times, it's a very very good PSU - if you don't have a dud that is!
Asus Strix Z270i heatsink is ridiculous and serves no purpose. Don't compromise on a CPU cooler design because of that, if people wants the best cooler there is, they can bloody well just replace their motherboard heatsink :p
I've got the C7 with the NF-A9x14 and find the turbulence noise very acceptable now. Temps went up slightly, but are you saying the TY-100 is even better than the NF-A9x14?
Just checked, I have version 28.10. Is our old Sandy Bridge chips even affected by the AVX torture test, I thought it was only AVX instructions on newer chips? Anyway, I ran Prime95 28.10 small FFT test for 20 minutes inside my Dan A4 case and it peaked at 79C, maybe you have a poor 2600, or I...
I know... I can't really return my XT140 just because it performs worse, I've already opened and used it. :p
I guess I'll have to take off my case side off for the time being, until a good cooling solution has been found, it sucks :(
I have some bad news. I tried swapping the fan on my Cryorig C7 with the Cryorig XT140 that supposedly is 2mm slimmer, but in reality it really appears to be the exact same thickness as the C7.
Here are my results. As for noise, I think the XL140 is ever so slightly more quiet, but my wife...
I've just received the Cryorig XT140 to put ontop of my C7, I'll test when I get home tonight and post my results. C7 fan is 15mm, XT140 is 13mm, so hopefully that'll make it quiet down a bit.
C7 is LOUD due to turbulence when next to inlet, I've got a C7 in the Dan A4, it's unacceptably loud. Need to look into maybe fitting a bigger slim fan on top of it.
I think all of EU but Germany is still waiting on DHL to receive their shipments - UK backer here, got DHL tracking 14 days ago, but the parcel is still with Dan, hasn't been picked up by DHL yet :p
Hopefully DHL will come pick up all EU palettes this week, so all of EU will get their cases...
