The system ran fine with the older video card so i doubt its related to the system, Ill try memtest and some stuff along with the other things you suggested
I have the 440GX Chipset i tried doing that already, It wouldnt let me up date the drivers it says there already upto date

The cpu is overclocked but it was fine before i put the new card in
Edit: Put the cpu back to the stock clock speed same problem
I keep having this problem when I start up an opengl game, I start and the screen turn's blue and sometimes says hardware fault

Radeon 9700 Pro
400Watt Psu (Tried another one same problem)
Socket 1 P3
Used driver cleaner and reinstalled them who knows...
My point is im not saying maxtor is crap once again i have one in my xbox thats been going good for about 2 years now

Ive had 2 die for no reason both had adequate power and adequate cooling
Both times they died the where secondary the primary...
Just for the record the ones that died where both on 400 watt psus and cooled very well.
Plus i had 2 hard drives in my duel p2 only the maxtor died
