Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the suggestion. The 750d is tempting (though I am not a fan of the base).
Is Samsung releasing any successors to those models? Kind of unfortunate that they're both discontinued, unless Samsung has something even better right around the corner.
Hello. I've been wanting to go 3D for quite some time but I'm having difficulty finding a universally well-regarded monitor that also fits my needs. I'm looking for a monitor that is:
Active 3D.
Compatible with Radeon 7970.
$3-500.
I'm not sure about the size. I've thought about getting...
What? Don't they both have the same width though (1920 pixels)? That would offer the same FOV and if anything 16:10 would offer more screen real estate vertically.
Other than system stability, your main concern should be heat (though obviously the two are not mutually exclusive).
Slowly increment the clock speed at stock voltage in your bios. I would start with 3.2-3.3GHz then move up 100MHz at a time from there. Only bump the voltage if you reach a...
Switching your power option (in control panel) from "balanced" to "high-performance" should run the cpu at its full clock speed. You can just switch back to "balanced" when you want Cool'n'Quiet to kick in, rather than disabling/re-enabling it in the BIOS.
Hey all,
I'm in the market for a 27" monitor to replace my aging 20.1" ViewSonic VX2025wm. I am on somewhat of a budget here and would not like my purchase to exceed $300.
The two I have narrowed down are the ViewSonic VA2702w for $269.99 or the Planar PX2710MW which after adding the...
Whoa, is this for real? Delivered in 5 days? That's pretty darn good! Does it look like it's the real deal (real labels and everything)? That price just seems too good to be true...
I tried a fresh Windows install on a new SSD drive and I still get the same results! Furthermore, something I hadn't mentioned before is that when I have the extra core unlocked, I am unable to completely shut down the computer. Once I click on Shut Down, Windows will go through its usual shut...
I have unlocked the cores using the CPU Active Core Control setting in my BIOS and by changing ACC to "Auto" "All Cores" and "Per Core" still, with no luck. The BIOS Post shows 4 cores and an X4 chip, Device Manager shows 4 cores, but Task Manager and CPU-Z only pick up 2. I think this is a...
Since I'm going to wait on building a new setup, I figured I could try once again to unlock the 4th core in my Phenom II X3 720. My motherboard is an ASRock AOD 790GX AM2+. After I set ACC to Auto in the BIOS and restart the machine, the BIOS post screen displays my number of cores as "4"...
Hello all,
My motherboard is an ASRock AOD 790GX 128Mb. The AHCI controller on this motherboard is out of date and can not be updated through a regular BIOS update. To modify the AHCI controller I have to update by modifying a BIOS ROM file.
I made a post in this forum regarding the issue...
My chip does not unlock successfully and it looks like Tiger Direct is sold out. I think for now I will hold onto this baby and maybe upgrade to a 5850 later this year.
Thanks all!
