Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
If your HD's are screwed in, then I would look for some rubber grommets that go between the screws. It looks like its included in the stabilizer but hard to tell.
I found this:

so another quick question, what kind of polishing compounds are recommended for spray painted surfaces? I actually googled this and got less answers than I expected. I went to AutoZone.com and surprisingly found only one product. Is it even appropriate to buff spray painted surfaces?
There is...
Of course it won't be permanent in the case I cannot find a switch that fits my needs, i may need to modify the existing switch. It will only be much easier for me to do this when its not attached and at the same time I need to use my computer.
anyways, thanks for all the help!
Hey guys
So I have a Dell computer and I need to replace the power switch with another. I see there is only two wires leading into the switch which seems simple enough. But as all things do, there may be more to the picture. I'm just wondering if its fine to just buy a momentary switch at...
So, I've come across multiple guides on case painting and noticed that they were all more or less for metal surfaces. I just have a few questions before I start painting next week.
The only primers I've been able to find at my hardware store is for metal surfaces, this leaves me to ask if...
Awesome work!
I have only one question, for the car filler, do you basically let it harden and then sand it down? I have never used it before, but I have used epoxy for modeling and I know you mix in a catalyst and let it harden then sand.
thanks!
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody knew the best kind of solder I should use in soldering power supply cables. I'm fairly new to soldering in that I don't know much about it but I've used it quite a lot in the past. The thing is I've just stuck with what I bought and I have no idea if there are...
Yea, i'm more or likely convinced that its too tight a fit, but as for installation goes, it was pretty straight forward and everything went fine and dandy except it was hard to clip in. Heres a pic of how it works from an online manual.
Now the pic is probably in no way to scale, but the...
So I decided to buy a new cpu fansink. My CPU socket type is 478, which has a frame around the cpu in which you hook some clip type things to hold down the cooler.
Now once I placed everything and booted up the computer, everything sounded fine but it just gave a blank black screen. Now when I...
The one I'm replacing is that size, made by Delta Electronics. There is room for a standard size, but the rounded IDE cable for the disc drives I'm using doesn't bend too nicely and overall makes that area cramped for space. Its not a huge problem I guess, but it would certainly be best if there...
Does anyone know of any good PSUs that are less than or about 4 inches deep? The ones I've seen around Newegg are around 6 inches at least and most of them don't even list the dimensions. And since this is the first time I've had to replace a power supply, is 4 inches an unusual size? I don't...
