    Problem i have is that my cables i use to day sff-8087 to 4xSata do not say witch one is 1,2,3,4 and in the new case i will only use sff-8087 to sff-8087 to the backplane and the case do not say witch one is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,9..24 So only solution is to check serial number and port/positions...

    Ain't fun to read the last few pages here :( Geting a 4x 3TB RED drives to expand my curent raid 6 array of 25x 3TB Hitatchi 3TB drives. Current array is almost full so need to expand it ASAP :( Guess i am best of puting these 4x RED drives in a own array for a few weeks for testing.

    Ok, then i shud be fine to add a few WD Red in to my array of Hitachi 5k3000 drives. On my raid card (areca 1680+hp sas expander) it say "Disk Capacity Truncation Mode = Multiples Of 10G".
