Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
One last question... been using ATi for ages and they have the GUI to control various aspects like fan speed and such... is there nothing like this for NVidia? Nothing in my taskbar and the only thing listed in Start>Programs is 4 items about 3D Vision.
Ok let me try that and see... I was just kinda baffled cause I cant recall the last time a card didnt need those cables. Lemme uninstall my ATi drivers and cross my fingers.
Ok so a buddy sent me a BFG 9800GT 1GB... does this card not require power cables? I dont see anyplace on here to hook them up. I thought all cards required this? Or am I truely blind as a bat and not seeing them?
Im willing to give it a try... but I don't know a single thing about OCing and for the life of me cant even find a template. If anyone comes across one and wants to post it I will give it a shot... that if anyone cares to toss some #'s for me to try <shrug>
From a ton of articles I just flipped through, most are saying there wont be much of any performance increase with Sandy Bridge as its going to be more of a evolutionary change then anything.
I'll be honest... this was my first system build and I wanted all the best at the given time and didnt really question the fact of how much more the QX version cost just for the OCing. If I had known at the time, I probably would have opted for the Q9650 and saved a ton of cash.
And Im sure I...
I play graphic intense games like Bad Company 2 and soon MOH and Black Ops... and I want the best visual quality possible but can live with it somewhere in the middle.
I purchased everything back in Feb 2008... so 2 1/2 yrs ago.

Im looking at getting a new case and new video card within the next few months (cross fingers), but Im not sure if all my effort to tear down my old build and stuff it all in a new case is worth the troubles or if I should consider upgrading to an i7 build.
