Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the advice & info. I really wouldn't know what I was doing in the service settings but I may get the courage to see what I can see & attempt some tweaks.
If it's mostly code numbers..... hmmmmmm I might give it a look. Thanks agian.
Inside this menu is it easy to navigate?I mean could you enter it & just look & see the settings? I'm only interested in 1 setting. How do you get out, re enter the code again?
I have the Samsung HL-S5088W 1080p DLP.
#1 Does anyone know the service code for this set?
Service guy came & replaced my light engine & while in service mode he softened up the edges claiming it would be less jaggy but I think it needs to be set back (looks a little soft around edges even...
Yes Vsync is enabled. Without Vsync theres little tear lines that pop up. Vsync fixed that. The problem I'm having is a thicker "wave" type roll. Around the center of the screen. It rolls upward but it's not constant. I've been playing now at 1360X768 & I haven't noticed it.
Could it be my PC...
I've been playing Half-Life Episode1 on my PC. I set the resolution to 1920X1080 & it looks awesome. Problem is, every so often a wave rolls up the scrren. What cuasing this? I'm playing on a Samsung 1080p DLP. I'm running the game with a 7800Gt GPU (just one). I would like to play at this res...
Alright, finally got it to work. I still would like to know the answers to the questions above.
I disabled my AV/firewall software after forwarding the ports I fired up the game & winthin minutes a player joined.
Which is really my routers LAN IP? So this is the ip address I need to forward ports to?? (trying to undertsand).
Under Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties I assigned a static ip address, subnet mask, default gateway, & DNS server. I just matched it to what I found when I ran the command...
OK, I've asked this before but I want to make sure I'm correct.
When I'm forwarding ports, I need to enter my"LAN IP address" for the Private IP right? So, my LAN IP address is what you call my internal IP adress?
Oh, I called my ISP today & they said they do not block any ports or anything.
I tried forwarding the ports but it didn't work so I'm thinking it's either my software firewall or cable modem/isp interfering. I'm still shooting in the dark though. I will try direct connecting to my PC & set my PC-cillin to "direct connection". Would this protect me? Is 1 firewall enough?
Still the same ol problem. I work on it till I exhaust every effort & get so frustrated till I'm ready to give up. I forget about it for awhile then try again. I still can't host a MP game where others can see it & join. Why is it so hard to host games? Still not sure what the problem is. I...
So the problem solely lies with my router config & possibly my software antivirus? Do I still need to do the IP passthrough you spoke of before? Thanks for the help. I'll work on it some more over the weekend.
So if I've assigned my Computer a 192.168.0.200 address on my network that will be the IP address I forward ports to? SO that would allow internet users to connect to my internal ip address assigned by my ISP?
Also, about Antivirus/firewall software. Should I put the settings to Low...
OK I can open a range of ports under firewall settings. Q. When I enter my LAN IP to forward the port to do I enter my ISP IP or just my 192.168.x that I have set up for static DHCP?
