    Aftermarket cooling for 7600GT

I can vouch for this one. I have it on my EVGA 7600GT. Fits perfectly. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16835118125

    Which 7600 GT

Not sure about this, but heard thet EVGA will not void your warranty if you put on an after-market heatsink. Other than slightly varying clock speeds, all these cards are nVidia reference designs, so just pick the cheapest one with the clock speed you want, they are all the same.

7900 GT cheaper and faster than 7800GTX please explain why

Also, smaller process = more chips per wafer = cheaper to produce.

    Praetorian or Aurora?

Yep, I decided to go with the Aurora. The mesh side has always been a given... Vanilla_Guerilla, am I correct in the fact that only the front of the case has the brushed texture and the rest is smooth?

    Praetorian or Aurora?

Note the Praetorian I speak of is the new one. It has a cover on the front and looks significantly different from the old one.

    Praetorian or Aurora?

I am building a new system and have narrowed my case decision down to two: CoolerMaster Praetorian 730 http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16811119085 Gigabyte Aurora http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811233002 I had my mind set on the Praetorian...

    7600gt vs. x1800gto

MelchiorZ, your math is wrong. You did 46/$300 and 32/$190. What you should have done was $300/46 and $190/32. The correct statement is dollar per frame, not frame per dollar. You are buying frames with dollars, not not buying dollars with frames. $6.52 per frame 7900GT $5.94 per frame...

Apple 2.7ghz dual core! Check this out... My god like winning the lotto.

If you want to thow $70 away, send it to me, I'll at least send you a thank you note. ;) Don't kid yourself into thinking this is even REMOTELY legit. A buddy of mine got bit by the Nigerian e-mail scam back in '98 before it was wide-spread. I told his stupid a$$ it was bull, but he did it...

    P4 2.8 w/ HT vs current AMD

Nuzzles, I assume you will be rendering in addition to modeling? If so, the P4 will have an advantage in that it supports SSE2 where the Athlon does not (assuming the software in question uses SSE2). If you are just modeling, you probably won't see much of a gain, if any. If I were you, I...
