So my uncle hooked me up with a demo ATI 5870, but FAH does not recognize it. Any suggestions for me to try? Control panel shows my card as 5800 series and not 5870 specifically. I only think its a 5870 because the report from Everest.
Also, does running the GPU client screw with the SMP...
been a long time for me, 8800gts (old one) and a core2duo @ 2.4
never used the GPU client before but it seems to take a good amount of CPU power so I only installed a single core for the the other half of the cpu, is this still efficient?
So I just found out my video card lost a capacitor due to poor shipping on my part.
I stuck this in another comp and was able to load up a game, but I'm afraid of how unstable it might be. Would soldering it back on solve my problems? Should I run some stress tests to see what happens first?

I have this 15" lcd made by CMV, model CT-522A. Just recently, the monitor stops receiving signal moments after turning on the computer. I don't even get into Windows so I don't think it could be any windows settings. My DVI monitor works fine on the computer. Any ideas what could be the issue?
