the registry entries did help,, before every time it went into standby the complete desktop would resize to about 1280 x 720,,,
usually the only thing that resizes now are the open windows,,
which might mean that I'm not getting all the display registry entries..
I also have this posted on...
thought I'd update this in case anyone was watching,,,
I thought I’d try an old video card I had in another computer,,
It has a HDMI output,,, after setting it up, the suggested resolution was 1920 X 1080,, with a max of 1920 X 1200,,,
So to continue on my trouble shooting I pulled out...
thank You madamimadam ....
I just ran that CRU and it cleared all the previous monitor info,, but not the registry driver entries,,
so I deleted them,, and let windows recreate them,,
and then I just let the puter go into stand-by,, when it comes back on,,, 2 of the windows are resized to...
I just purchased the Acer K272HUL monitor,,
when I hooked it up,, everything went fine,, but if the computer goes into sleep mode,, or I shut down,,, it doesn't maintain the resolution settings,, and starts as 1024 x 768,, or lower,, or sometimes just my icons and windows get resized and moved...
Thanks for all the replies,
getting some opinions from auctual users is great,
was wondering what nasty little surprises I would run into,
but I think I'll try Go Daddy, I believe I can switch down the line if the needs arise..
Ok thanks alot,
I was looking at Go Daddy but wanted to get the opinion of someone more knowledgable than myself..
also obviously didn't see the sticky
did a search for hosting, strange the sticky didn't come up,
I need to build a simple website for a business project,
asking for opinions on the best site for hosting.
don't really know if the business will take off or not, so I can't really say what will be down the road, but the site should be able to be upgraded for online transactions, and other...
I wonder if that the case, is the malware hijacking the standard e-mail programs & if there's a copy of sent spam in the infected puters sent folder..
ex; if You checked Your sent folder would you see a million sent spam messages
I don't understand why they can't just block the origin of these sources,
obviuosly there's millions of e-mails originating from a particular source, they have to be able to trace this source of activity..
I hate You guy's,
after reading this I pulled out my old NES and played the original.
I played that dam thing for 4 hrs yesterday,
now I remember why I had it hidden in my closet..

I have the Alesis version of these and...
just received this in the mail, obviously a virus disguised as a Hallmark E-Card,
when I opened the remaining card there was no one listed as the sender..
and it was sent to an address that I don't use for e-mail with friends..
check out the round draw pulls,
and maybe put a round rubber pad on it, or they have self adhesive felt pads,
spend a little time and walk around checking all these variuos options out,
something might jump out at You..
