Ok I should be starting to work on my new case project in mid december and was wondering where is the best place to get .4 aluminum to build the case out of. I would prefer anodized with finishes already on them but I would prefer choice of finished or unfinished though. I want at least .8mm...
If you wanted to built it right you could create a completely sealed environment for your pc. First water cool everything then seal up the entire case with caulking with the radiator outside the case. The biggest issue would having to have such a massive water cooling to cool everything inside...
I have found for the dust nut that most of those cases do not help. Also I would always maintain at least one fan of positive pressure. I have found depending on where you live most of the dust filters just do not cut it. I live in arizona and those filters fill up to fast to be of use here...
The main problem is that I have an unusual layout for mine that you would not normally see in a case so it would be hard to mod the mobo tray like that. Honestly I would prefer to build one myself anyways I was just wondering what you all think is the most convenient way of removing them. I...
Hey guys I have a question for those of you who have built an entire case from scratch. I have all the basics in my head for what I want so my main question is this how hard is it to build a removable mobo tray and drive cage. I have been thinking about how to create my own drive bays I think...
Honestly most of those cases you listed are somewhat overrated. I found that I prefer to look through all sorts of cases to find one that is perfect. For instance the case I am using now is some no name brand case that has served me better both airflow and feature wise than most other cases...
Holy shit I had planned to build a case from scratch that looks very similar to the one with the bent front. I also love that mobo tray. I usually use a ground set system so having an angled front really appeals to me. My idea was to make the case reversable so that if it was desktop you...
I would do something really unique with it like adding a keyed start or something. One mod I have wanted to try for a while is modding a case to include a monitor. My idea is to create a case and divide it up into two halves and then mod a 20.1 inch LCD into it. Then reposition the drives so...
Drives cant be pressurized because when they get warm they air expands so they would bust thats why the hole with the air filter is there is so that it can relieve pressure.
pretty much unless your want a heavy mod you are stuck with the PSU on top in mid towers unless you want a lan li or p180. Why do you care if the PSU is on bottom in the first place. In most cases it makes things more difficult for wiring. You need extra long cables on the PSU to hide...
why not mod a cheaper case into what you want its so much more fun. I personally prefer the clean look of brushed or polished aluminum. My next case is going to be built by hand including the hdd bays so I can layout the case how I want it. I would personally find a case that has the...
The holes on those two items should line up. Make sure you are putting the motherboard standoffs in the right spots as there are usually more holes present than you actually need. If you fill the wrong holes it will stop your mobo from sitting right.
If looking for a mid tower you can get a good case for alot less. I find that any mid tower over 100$ to be a massive waste of money because you can find something of equal value for less. Honestly unless you are using sli and a top end system and overclocking you do not need a high end case...
I call bullshit on the 30 cases every 2 weeks and still not knowing shit. I can not believe that guy doesnt realize the difference between the two cases. One even if the fan positions are the same one fan design can vary greatly from another manufacturer the main difference is that the lan li...
