Well it crashed again... but this time instead of reseting it just locked up... Out of curiousity I touched one of the metal parts on the back of my Card and WOW IT HURT! So I am now begingin to think its an overhearting problem... I'm curious as to maybe find a way to test this..

I may have fixed the problem... after bringing my comp into work my boss said that it might be caused by the VPU Recovery being turned on. When I asked why it was doing it without ATICCC Installed he said that it is on even without the CCC. After turning it off it seems to be running fine at...
Well... now im begingin to think it might be overheating on the video card... cause the video card (X1800XT) is a hand me down from my boss. He put a aftermarket cooler on it (A nice one I thought) and the problem only persists when I up the Resolution in Halo... I'm going to see if lower...

Halo in 'Safe Mode' seems to run fine... ive been playing in safe mode since my last post and no lockups... Video Options for 'Safe Mode' are as follows:

Well I've read somewhere that it might have been related to my motherboard and drivers being outdated... sadly this is not the case as I have now updated not only the drivers on everything BUT Ive updated the BIOS as well... I'm runnin latest catalyst drivers and all of my games are up to...

I may be narrowing the problem down... I installed the ATI Control Center and it says the following message after a crash.
VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands

Aight well I just made a new box [see specs below] and the problem I am having is VERY weird. While playing any game (Halo, Freelancer, HL2, WoW) the game will randomly go black. Then my moniter says "Power off in 5 sec" as if there is no signal. A few sec later the game comes back. I...
