Lian Li PC-Q11 build in progress..

Notes so far.. For some reason the fan I added to the bottom makes noice :( (Noctua NF-P14s redux-1200) In the front is a PWM version parrall with the stock intel CPU cooler, no sound other than usual air movement. Bottom feet seem small, looking at the pictures again they are obviously...

Most likely only to allow pwm fans to connect to the board.

    Asus ROG Maximus VII Impact

If the manual says +5V for the fourth pin, it is a voltage regulated header, you can compare that to the description of the cpu header that properly says PWM on the fourth pin.

    Powerful low-power build advice....

As people have already mentioned the real solution is not new pc, but install a new breaker+cable for your spaceheater ☺, or if existing cables allow upgrade the breaker ie. 10A to 13A is common here. If you upgrade your "inefficient" pc and tv, they would produce less heat, and you...

True PWM control on Mini-ITX boards..

Hello guys.. My second fan header on the GigaByte GA-H97Z-WIFI board is of the "fake 4Pin" kind, meaning it is just voltage controlled... So sad panda me... :( Does anyone know if someone makes a compact PWM controller, perhaps one that fits the 2.5" form factor.. ? I guess they don't...

    Difference between these 2 motherboards

I spend all day reading about mainboards last night.. the price range is quire huge.. so really try to narrow down what features you need, socket, support sli/crossfire, usb headers on board, number of fan headers, number of drives you want to install, build in wifi.. color.. and so forth...

The next NCASE project: a Steam Machine-style case (indeterminate)

Suggestion. Rotate the GFX Card so MB and Card face the same way, that way you can have a clear side panel for people into that. :)

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

@Urelure Thanks for you feedback, and I certainly follow what you mean. I've ordered the NH-C14 as you suggested, I think it is the one I've seen on pictures also. Looking into my old case (Fractral Arc Mini) the thing that worries me most is going from awesome cable management to no cable...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for the suggestion, I haven't really decided on 3.5" HDD yet.. I have so many in my current PC that in any case didn't want to buy more. As for the maximus board, only really the fan headers.. :X the Z97I-Plus looks better and is waaay cheaper too.. guess it is habit since I went with...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks to Necere and XeiNika for answering my previous questions! :D As I order parts, more questions pop up. :) Parts so far. 1. Aircooler, since I was stupid again.. (never used the OC ability in my current build). I like the design where the heatsink is very near the fan on the side...
