    Appropriate X3350 temps?

    Try reading temperatures with Realtemp instead... should be more accurate. My X3350 is around 30-33c idle in windows, and around 50-55c under load.

    Any reason to get Q9450 over X3350?

    Go ahead and get it.. It is basically the same cpu as Q9450. Just make sure your motherboard supports the xeon processor (even though it's socket 775). I got the x3350 and it's an awesome cpu!

    TRUE too tall for my case! :(

    How about getting the Thermalright Ultima 90? I can't fit the True in my case as well (CM Cosmos S), so I'm going with the nextbest Thermalright solution. It's 139mm. Look up some reviews, it seems to be quite nice.
