I recently bought a new graphics card (Asus GTX 560Ti) with micro HDMI-out. I also have a Samsung PS51D555 Plasma flatscreen with 4x HDMI-in.
I managed to successfully connect my PC to my flatscreen once (HDMI-HDMI). Since I thought everything was just fine I removed the cable...
Go ahead and get it.. It is basically the same cpu as Q9450. Just make sure your motherboard supports the xeon processor (even though it's socket 775).

How about getting the Thermalright Ultima 90? I can't fit the True in my case as well (CM Cosmos S), so I'm going with the nextbest Thermalright solution. It's 139mm. Look up some reviews, it seems to be quite nice.
