I just replaced the TIM on my 480 with some Shin-Etsu G751 and im getting some skewed results. While my idle temps have dropped 3c from 46c - 43c my load temps have gone up from 88c - 98c! I hear theres a cure time for this paste but is this normal? The method I used for applying the TIM was...
Yeah I had a feeling it was normal, I have found out that a big limiting factor in the overclock is the memory frequency, I can push my core up to 825 no problem but if I raise the memory to anything over 1000mhz the fan cant keep up with the heat it produces. Noise isnt an issue for me since Im...
dropping the voltage from 1.113 to 1.100 definitely makes it more stable at that speed, topped out at 91c which is still high......but thermal max for the card is 105c.
I'm not sure how much more aggressively I can set it lol, I figured anything over 60c at 100% fan would keep it cool, is there a reference page that shows how to remove the cooler, I might try reapplying thermal paste.
I just lucked out an snagged a PNY version from a local fry's. While at stock speed i wasnt hitting anywhere near 90c but now with some moderate oc'ing ( 780/1028/1560 ) I just topped 100c running a 5 min loop of furmark. I've got a custom fan speed curve set up in afterburner, 100% at anything...
what do you mean by size down? I can change the resolution like normal and I can re-size the desktop, but neither of those are what Im trying to achieve. Does anyone know if it could be a problem with the flat panel scaling
looking more at that tab, the only options it gives me are: edge enhancement, noise reduction, and deinterlacing, none of which effect the resolution of the desktop. Also the control panel recognizes the tv as Olevia 242FHD-T11 maybe the little extra info will help ;)
So Ive been having this problem for awhile now ( cant remember exactly when it started happening but Ive narrowed it down to a couple possibilities ) My TVs native resolution is 1920x1080, when I set my resolution to this in the control panel the screen extends beyond the border of the TV, the...
how likely is it that its the ram? I bought oczxp13334gk thats not on the QVL but the oczp13334gk is, is it possible that just in the upgraded ram that the board doesnt recognize it? Even if it didnt it should still give me some sort of error code....also I read on the asus forums that theres...
well I tried using both but Im still not getting any error beeps or anything, Im not sure if its the cpu or not an I dont have any other hardware to test on
