Thanks to all who posted about the missing heatsink on the Palit card. That was the deal breaker for me. Anyhow, I went with the Talon attack. However, I am concerned due to all the posts about the problems with the OC versions of the 460. Does anybody have any experience with this card...
Wow! Thanks guys for all your input. I was waiting until today to see if there were any price reductions on these cards. Looksl like a pretty weak Cyber Monday. Anyhow, I am about to pull the trigger on the MSI N460GTX Talon Attack at the Egg. I believe it comes out to $209. Thanks...
So I finally decided that i need to upgrade from my 8800gt, I have been researching some of the cards. Palit for example. However, I have read in the forums about the lacking heat sink,. That in itselft is discouraging. Anyhow, I am also looking at the MSI Cyclone. I understand it is a great...
It will fit. I just finished installing it on a GA-EP45-UD3P and that case. I installed it using the optional mounting bracket after dealing with the stock heatsink and fan from a Q6600 from another install. Don't trust those pushpins with the weight of this unit.
Forgot memory and settings; At 3.672 Mhz and 1:1 my memory clock is at 900 Mhz. The memory I am using is the G.Skill F2-8000 CLD5D-4GBPQ DDR2 1000. Unfortunatly, I am underclocked by 100MHz. from what they are rated. Timing settings are stock; 5-5-5-15. Voltage is set at 2.00V. I am thinking...
I currently have my q6600 on the UD3P board at 3.672 Mhz with most settings at AUTO except for CPU voltage which was set in the BIOS to 1.38125. CPU-Z reports it at 1.334. I did manage to get to 3.8 + Mhz and boot into windows but I didn't test for stability. I did't really care for the...
I just started installing this board in my water-cooled stacker. Unfortunately, it is a bit of work since I had to pull just about everything out from the last install. I will also be using DDR2-1066 and will hopefully post my results soon.
I just received mine from the Egg. I am going to try a Q6600 and see what I can do with it. Anybody paired this with a Q6600? What kind of results did you get /
Hey my ps3 is messed up, the front led will start red for standby and if i try to turn it on, it goes green for a second then flashing red, i am thinking it is the power supply, Does anybody know how to check if a ps3 power supply is dead? how would i hook up a meter? thanks
Yesterday I ordered the (8) RAM sinks from Petra's. A couple of days prior to this order I tried to purchase the Pro Mount Kit. However, the order was never filled due to an error of their online stock. Anyways, I talked to a representative, perhaps the owner, Alex, and he said he would include...
Hi there! I am planning to install my old Swiftech MCW60 on the 8800GT. However, I am not sure how many RAM heatsinks I need to order. I am leaning on using these RAM heatsinks: EnzoTech BMR-C1 Pure Forged Copper Ramsinks (Pack of 8)...
