Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thank you Dangman for the reply!
Any other suggestions to save money but not lower performance?
Also, monitor suggestions would be great. I'm not too terribly knowledgeable in regards to the specs. Definitely would prefer an IPS panel at the least though.

Thank you for taking a look and good to know that it will at least work lol. Certainly better than his old HP PC that he is giving to his GF.
A friend of mine is wanting to build a PC and I have offered to help him with part selection. He lives in Las Vegas.

I was wonder how the Q8400 stacks up in gaming performance in comparison to some of the modern budget chips around? My friend is wanting to upgrade his rig and I have the choices pinned down but I want to know if the Q8400 is still a decent chip without any GPU bottleneck. If it is, we can...
I'm a little green when it comes to builds but I like trying and I love a challenge :D

According to your choices on PCpartpicker.com you made and excellent choice on the Mobo and heatsink. I don't know if you researched the Noctua HS but with your chosen Mobo, it gives you enough clearance to not take your foremost PCIe slot as it does with other ones. Great performance...
