Funny thing I also have G.Skill Ripjaws 4 rated at 3000, I got it to run by bumping it up to 1.40v but now it won't even at that.
Guess it's time to RMA.
I think sometimes when you buy from a third part vendor there could be issues with warranty but again that also depends on if you buy from a reputable vendor or not.
I recently built a new x99 rig and went with a 5930k, MSI x99A M-Power motherboard. For the ram I decided on G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 F4-3000C15Q-16GRR.
The memory is supposed to run at ddr4 3000 with 1.35v using the XMP profile. However when I give it 1.35 my system is not stable and usually hangs...
I believe you can use a program like Speedfan to control the fans and set them to 100%. See if that helps 3d mark score. Also check the Nvidia control panel to see if that is set to High Performance.
Was the laptop connected to the A/C adapter when you ran 3d mark and did you set the profile for High Performance?
Out of that it could be your clock speed is getting throttled due to temps
