    problem is you're using an ASUS mobo. they're having problems with their BIOS and the latest Intel CPUs using L2 stepping as opposed to B2 stepping. i have similar issues. if you know how to flash your BIOS, do it, but if it doesn't work properly, DON'T RESTART!!!! flash it again. the latest...

    ASUS Vintage PE2 IntelCPU 640 UCode Error

    I’m using ASUS Vintage PE2 and getting a CPU UCODE error. I've updated my BIOS and it's not working. Any ideas? I’m using a Pent 4 Proc 640, LGA775, 3.2GHz, 2MB L2, 800MHz, SL8Q6…ASUS tech support is clueless. I sent my board back and they couldn’t figure it out either.

    Windows XP SP2

    Ok this is ridiculous, my sister's hard drive failed, RMA'd, got the new one today, put it in, reloaded her copy of XP, so I'm sitting here doing windows update and it WON'T let me upload SP2!! What in the world? So I updated the BIOS, did all the other updates, I have MORE than enough RAM...
