Just got my H2. I do like it so far. Question: I think with the open bottom and removable filter, I am going to mount my Corsair 620w PSU so that it sucks in from the bottom. It will sit on a desk, not on carpet. Thoughts?

Exactly. A great game 5 years ago was forced off the market and their alternative is garbage and not updated like Papy's was. For that alone, I can't forgive EA. Then, they released 2142 and it has so many bugs.... sigh. :mad:

Used to be a decent NASCAR sim on the PC market, then EA bought exclusivity. So, Papyrus goes away and now another season passes with an updated console version and no love for the PC.

I only get the DVD prompt error when I try to start the singleplayer or when I try to switch from multiplayer to SP. This is consistent with what I've read on other forums. Since the MP apparently does not do a DVD check, this is the reason folks like me with this problem can play MP just...

Doh! Must have been fondly recalling my old NF7-S. Now there was a piece of hardware that worked.

I browsed around the official Infinity Ward forums and the solution suggested there is to get a no-DVD fix. I am a little reluctant to go this route, but nothing else has worked to this point. Last thing I want to do is get Punkbuster mad at me, so to speak, but darned if nothing else works so...

Appreciate the reply. The only burning software I have on the machine is the Nero suite that came with the drive, Nero Essentials 7. I'd read that programs of that type might cause these issues, but I don't have any of them. Stumped.

Bringing this back up to the top... I just bought this game last week and have the same problem. I'm not running any emulation software or anything like it. Google has not really helped a lot--I've tried most of the things suggested there. Has anyone here got any more information on this...

Right... my number was a little out of thin air, just to compare to the late-2007 deals on the A2. Another poster had some good points too on why/how Toshiba was able to get the players down that low. $200 might be still a little high, but I guess one of my hesitations at spending much more...

Maybe not, but I think you missed my point--I'm not talking about a literal match to the A2. My only point was this: I won't be in until there is a Blu-Ray player (perhaps low-end) at a very low price point, as in the ballpark of $100. I'm just not willing to spend $300-$400 for a DVD player.
