Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I do not totally agree with this. Yes the CPU is much faster than the Atom - but judging from the reviews I've seen, the battery life is nowhere near Netbook standards. I wouldn't recommend the DV2 product line unless you constantly have access to a power outlet. HDMI is only available on...
Up in Canada we already have this cap in place.
Rogers announced this 3 months ago. Depending on your monthly internet package, you have a limit of either 95/ 60 / 25 / 2 GB. Any overages and you will be charged $2 + tax per GB over your usage limit.
In my neighborhood there is only...
I just received my replacement L246WP-BN. It is beautiful. The colors are so much better now
Both the L246WH-BN and the L246WP-BN have 1:1 settings.
Picture taken of L246WP-BN
The 1:1 option is grayed out because its running at Native resolution right now. If I drop the...
LOL. No Problem. I hate extended warranties as well. Plus I've seen so many horror stories online.
Update on my situation: LG is going to replace the WH model with a WP model for me. They found one in Vancouver and they will be shipping it out directly to me. I'm pleased with LG...
 Are you telling us its a bad idea to buy Extended Warranties? I didn't buy an extended warranty - I never buy extended warranties. Right now I'm dealing with the original manufacturer's warranty.
The SWAP warranty that I am referring to is LG's policy of cross-shipping replacement...
I bought an open box model - it was the last one the store had. It had an annoying shadow that only appeared on dark gray backgrounds. I took it back to the store and they advised me to contact LG to get a replacement since they were under the impression that I would get one faster than they...
Yeah, well.. this is my experience in Canada. And the rep told me that they're discontinuing the model. So good luck with your panel. I hope nothing goes wrong with yours.
Its not Misinformation if its true - is sounds to me that you're implying that I'm lying or overreacting.
So here are...
Just a heads up to anyone considering this monitor or is considering swapping the monitor for small problems.
THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU AN L246WP monitor back if you do a SWAP Warranty exchange! I just did a swap and they gave me an L246WH-BN. It is a TN PANEL  . What pisses me off is when...
Just for the record: DIVX is not the same as the DivX codec. DIVX was released around the same time as DVD. Its basically an optical disc (based on DVD?) that will only playback for a few days. All DIVX players were required to phone home (modem connection I believe) before it became playable...
Actually, Blu-Ray 1.1 gives you PiP. The only thing 2.0 adds is Internet connectivity. 2.0 isn't even finalized yet - thats for next years players! Hooray!
I remember reading a review about 300 (HDDVD version) and I remember how the reviewer commented on how the special features was...
Actually, I'm pretty sure the average consumer just asks the salesperson which one to go for. I recently talked my boss into returning a Sony Blu-ray player just because of this 1.0->1.1---[1 year later]--->2.0 Profile crap.
He only bought the player because the salesperson told him that...
LOL.
Chronage cancelled his order, so I don't think he'll be able to give you a first hand opinion. Maybe someone else will be able to see it in person and reply back here.
Here's my tip. When you see it in the store lift it up (if possible) and you'll find that it feels like a cheap...
I picked one up at my local Best Buy store. The screen is definitely not glossy. I returned it right away though. The bloody monitor has a really cheap feeling to it. The panel is very light - feels like a toy. The stand is unbelievably craptastic. Lots of light leaking from the back of...
He's not asking about running Crysis at 1920x1200. He's asking how the IQ is when running a 24" at NON-NATIVE resolutions. I do agree with your point about VA panels being better than TN, but different people have different needs.
Koretex:
I just loaded up Bioshock - changed the resolution to...
I just tried switching resolutions on my L246WP - no delay at all - its practically instantaneous. There is a delay if I switch inputs however, i.e. HDMI -> VGA.
I don't notice any delays in going from Games back to the desktop either. Are you running the monitor through the HDMI or VGA inputs?
