    Why would iI have to format the second drive? I'm planning to install windows on my raptor(74gb). The other drive is from my old pc and I have all my data on there. Would this make a dramatic difference in performance if I don't format the 2nd drive??

    Hey, I'm building my first pc and I was wondering how I would install both my SATA and IDE disk drive. Is there any special way, or do I just plug my ide into ide 1 and my sata into sata 1? Also, do I have to put my optical drive on a separate IDE port? Sorry about the newb question guys.
