what m.2 cards to use with this mobo?
I was thinking Samsung 950 Pro but speeds will be slower will these adapters do the trick or does my mobo has a pci slots limitation. I already have gtx980 card installed into one...
I think at this moment in Jan. of 2015 we just have to wait till March of 2015 to see what is really available.
I am sure with demand, supply will kick in.
Did you follows Ramcity's guide?
https://www.ramcity.com.au/blog/how-to-install-windows-8.1-on-the-samsung-xp941-ss/138296
looks like pudgetsystems using the same Adapter card that you linked above on their Asus Z97-A mobo...
couldn't you get an adapter like this below to use on your MOBO in case it is not compatable with your m.2 x2 slot
http://www.amazon.com/Lycom-DT-120-PCIe-Adapter-Support/dp/B00MYCQP38/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1420781695&sr=1-1&tag=hardfocom-20
ok dang it now for Asus Z97-A owners with M.2 slot only working at PCIe2.0 x2 mode.
so what adapter to get to get the PCIe 3.0 x4 conversion for the MOBO?
is the adapter even exists?
the only one I found is this one but I think it is to convert from PCIe 2.0 x2 to PCIe 2.0 x4 lanes...
I also wanted to jump on the xp941 but I would wait til March for new replacement of xp941 called SM951

in order to use those M.2 PCIe x2 or x4 ssds you need a comaptable MOBO or can use m.2 to pcie x4 adapters. thats the only way to use M.2 pcie or ssd based storage.
well since I am running Asus Z97-A I am not buying x99 cuase I just bought a z97 moboboards.
so for people like me the only solution for speed is to use an M.2 to PCI-E x4 adapter like this one http://www.bplus.com.tw/Adapter/M2P4A.html
to reach advertised speeds.
Samsung should release...
but who got those MOBOs to support M.2 PCIe 3.0x4
I have Asus z97-a mobo and it only supports M.2 PCIe 2.0x2. without an adapter to PCIe 2.0x4 I cannot really reach high speeds
is it still limited to 6Gb/s?
I cannot use Crucial for my Z97-A mobo since my M.2 interface only supports M.2 PCIe versue your MOBO Z97 Pro, which supports both SATA and PCIe hence you can use Crucial.
But I thought M.2 SATA interface is that same as other SSD drives like Samsung 840 Pro in...
Anyone using M.2 interface
as I undrestand we have PCIe M.2 interface so cannot use M.2 SSDs.
so the only choice we have is to use M.2 PCIe cards
is SAMSUNG XP941 only one available to purchase for this MOBO
anyone know this?
been reading here for some info but still just wanted to...
cool I have 91% Isoprophyl wallgreen bottle, which will do fine.
so just a small grain size will do right? but do not apply on both cpu and copper H50 block, only on the cpu side correct?
