    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

Haha futurama reference right :)? Yeah I figured it would be just the same if I modded the fan and / or the air-flow in some other way. Thanks for all your replies anyway

    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

Some of the capacitors on the Antec have begun to leak, so it was pretty much about time anyway. Now I'm even more content with the new Corsair :D

    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

20 watts is not just 20 watts. I'm upgrading from 20A on the 12V rail to 33A. That's a big difference. I can't get better for 100 bucks here in Denmark, stuff is a lot more expensive than in the US :) A VX450W is $100 straight plus shipping ($15). For comparison, newegg has them for $64.99 and...

    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

So I got carried away and went ahead and bought the VX450W :D This has to be one of the most deluxe packings I've ever seen! It felt so premium when I opened the box. The PSU was inside a cotton bag like the ones you have for bike helmets: Inside that bag, was the PSU wrapped in bubble...

    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

I think I'll buy a Corsair VX450W Specs are great: - 33A on a single 12V - Below 22dB up to ~250W output - 80+ certified - $100 price tag (that's what it costs here in Denmark anyway) - Japanese components. I guess that addresses Zero82z's issue with the old Antecs Anyone wanna comment?

    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

Thanks a lot dude. I'll find a stronger PSU for when I'm overclocking it. 25-30A for a single rail, or 2x20ish should be plenty, right?

    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

Yeah 20A and only a single 12V rail is a bit low. As for cooling, I've replaced the stock cooling with a 120mm and an 80mm running at a fixed speed, so the fan control shouldn't be an issue. It's kept cool as it is now. Keep in mind that I'm running the E4400 at 3.0 GHz and 1.4V. I'm guessing...

    i5 750 on Antec 430W, 20A, possible?

Hello guys I'm considering upgrading to i5, and I'd like to ask you what you think about my PSU For reference, my current system: Antec PSU, 430w and max 20A on 12v E4400 @ 3,0 ghz watercooled Nvidia 7950GT 2 x SATA 7200 drives and 1 SATA DVD-RW I've tried ThermalTake's PSU calculator. With...

    7950gt max 595 core - should i vmod ?

Thanks alot :) What do you have the ram set for? Cause I can't see any real difference even in 3dmark when i bump the ram from 700 to 850 EDIT: Also, how big a performance boost did it yield you? Can you remember?

    7950gt max 595 core - should i vmod ?

I got the card for free and I have a replacement card collecting dust. I don't care much for the card, I'd just like to see what I can do with it :) As you can see, the rest of my setup are overclocked budget parts as well. I'd like to see how much of a difference a voltmod can make, as I...

    7950gt max 595 core - should i vmod ?

Hi guys I have a 7950gt at stock speeds for now (550/700). I've mounted a Zalman VF900 on it, but no sinks on ram yet - I'll do this as soon as the easter holidays are over and the shops are open (I'm from Denmark btw). My problem is, at anything above 590 on core, I get artifacts and heavy...
