Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well I continually delete games I don't use (because of Steam). With Windows, WoW, SC2, Diablo and a few games I have anywhere from 75-100GB at any given time. SSD is the new kingston.
I have about 2TB of open space still, but I get more periodically.

Well spending $600-700 for a new MB/CPU/Mem combo seems a bit much. I may just have to pull the trigger on the FX 8350. Are AMD coming with anything soon to replace this? I haven't heard too much and it seems they are shying away from doing any more. If I go intel, will they then have yet...
I've thought about the new haswell chips or just going with the fx 8350. What I really need is just a chip that will be able to encode while I play and not cause loss in frame rate.
I have everything ready to purchase now. I just want to make sure that there isn't something on the horizon that would be more than just an incremental increase in performance.
So I may be in need of an update for my current system so that I can stream or encode videos on the fly while playing games (SC2, WoW, Diablo, BF, Civ5).

Windows 8 is being optimized with tablets in mind. This means an OS that is better optimized for computers/tablets of a slower processing power. This in my mind would help performance, not diminish.
Also, I have read lately that Microsoft is looking to increase it's appeal to PC gamers...
