Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Turns out you were right, ryan. Apparently the battery just got sort of uncalibrated. The first time I charged it after getting the new charger it overheated; then I was using it and it went from 45% to 7%. I charged it again and now it's got its calibration back and there are no more issues...
I just got my replacement charger (one of the cheaper ones you find at amazon). It works and is recognized as a 90w Dell charger.
The battery had been completely drained while using the last charger. Windows showed it at 0% for quite a few days. Right after I got the charger I connected it and...
I'm not sure about the apps, but the Note 2014 has awesome resolution (2560x1600), which is excellent if you're dealing with design. That's better than any other tablet that I know of, including the iPad, and it really makes a difference, IMHO. :)
I won't argue with you on the technical details... but I've had laptops from Toshiba (2), Sony, Acer, Asus, LG and now Dell. The only one that has this sort of control is Dell's and the only one that's given me a headache is Dell's. Same thing with my wife's laptops. Seems to me like it's either...
There's a big difference between running at 100% all the time and never letting it go beyond 30% (even though there's plenty of power available).
I tested it with my mom's laptop charger, which is 65w: apparently my laptop does recognize it's a Dell 65w charger, while my mom's laptop gives...
Hi all,
I'll start with some context: I'm one of the many Dell customers disgruntled by the annoying charger problem. I've had a Dell XPS l502x for a couple of years and a few weeks ago I started getting the message below:
"Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge...
Thank you very much for your reply, mate.
That add-in does solve the situations where she has to close the browser for some reason, but unfortunately crashing is more common than it should be, so that's an issue.
Feels like there's a check box on either Firefox or Chrome that I could just tick...
Hi all,
My wife is having a problem and I can't seem to find people with a similar one through Google.
For work she has to access a few websites that allow internal searches (legal stuff). So she often has 6 or 7 tabs open with different search results that she uses as reference for her...
problem solved. had it repaired under warranty, and it basically consisted of replacing the entire motherboard - since the sound board is built into it.
so for future reference: a sound problem on the speakers that also happens when using earphones means it's either a driver problem, which...
hey folks,
my office partner just went to thailand and he's gonna be there for 2 years. I'm setting up our local meeting room to be able to do weekly conferences with him (8 people over here and him over there). I'm looking for a microphone that we can use to just leave it on the table so he...
after almost a year, I'm sorry to say I still have the same problem. I've tried everything. the server still disappears for random computers for a few minutes through the day. the server still sees every other computer. but sometimes even the server can't access its own mapped network locations...
hello folks.
I recently bought a refurbished dell xps 15 l502x. excellent laptop. came in great shape and has very good jbl speakers. the problem, though, is that it's producing a constant static sound from the right speaker. not loud, but annoying when the room is silent. it doesn't vary in...
thanks, I'll try that.
I don't see much of a point since the win7 works perfectly fine the whole time the winXP laptop isn't on. but then again... I don't see much of a point in so many aspects of windows :)
