Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I recently had some system issues and was able to scrounge some parts together and get a PC up and running. I used to be way into optimizing and OCing my system, but I just let that knowledge go...kind of wish I hadn't!
Anyhow, I'm getting a lot of latency in everything I do on my computer...
I think what I'll do is run off the battery back up for the remaining tests.
There should be no problems in this house as far as wiring, I live on a military installation, but you never know. Also my monitor was plugged into the same UPS/surge protector that the power supply was plugged into...
ahhh apologies...
Purepower 2.0
Is the difference between the PSU's significant enough that it would be better to get a lesser wattage (450) toughpower then another of the higher wattage (600) purepower?
The Purepower was bought last night after the Antec went pop.
The new PSU was the Thermaltake 600W
The UPS was a F6C500- UNV
The video card a GEFORCE 7800 GS OC
WD800 SATA Hard Drive
Thermaltake VA8000BWS with case fans and a big Zalman fan for CPU cooling
The old PSU was an Antec SP 450
I don't think it's soley the PSU, both of them popped.
I can find...
Ok well that constitutes a bad night.
Using a Gigabyte K8NS motherboard with a Athlon 2400+ being run by an Antec 450 Watt Power supply. Everything is plugged into a Belkin battery backup/suppressor.
I come home from work one day and nothing is running. Odd, battery back up is running...
