There's a deal on at dell.ca right now, only $220 CDN for this monitor. It's a really good deal considering $200USD is at $250 CDN right now.
Free shipping as well. This is a great opportunity to buy this monitor... I would jump on it if I didn't already get the 2309W for other computer when...
Do you pay with a credit card? Many credit cards offer an additional year of warranty.
Also, I've heard horror stories of people at BB trying to get them to honour their warranties, but have also heard good stories.
Personally, I would avoid buying extended warranties on anything because...
16:10 monitors are slowly being phased out by 16:9 monitors, but the problem is that you lose some vertical space if you go 16:9 so it's not as good for viewing web pages. I would rather get that extra bit of real estate.
As for resolution for games, have you noticed they still support the...
The PS3 is not too overpriced in my opinion for what you're getting in return. Compared to other consoles out there, it's got more power, blu-ray player, built in wifi, a decent hard drive. Although the games library is smaller than the Xbox, alot of games are cross-platform now with a few...
After using it a couple more days, the input lag is beginning to be more tolerable.. but still noticeable, I don't think I'll get used to it more than how I am right now.
Watching movies is great on this monitor though, a real treat. I tried watching Wall-E on it and I was completely blown...
I'm not sure about that, but the current transition to 16:9 is the resolution problem, monitors smaller than 24" use a resolution of 1680x1050 (16:10) which is not quite 1080p.
Depends on the use.. TN panels are alot better than others at games because of the responsivenes, but I would never go with a TN panel if my main purpose was colour critical work/movie watching.
That said, if everyone goes dual monitor (1 TN for gaming, 1 IPS/PVA for other stuff) then...
Don't waste your money, your video card is more than capable
http://ati.amd.com/products/radeon9600/radeon9600pro/specs.html
it supports resolutions even higher than 1920x1200
Just got my monitor today! It's HUGE, way bigger than my 19" non-ws monitor. Anyways, just set it up and it looks great with 10e's profile, the colours looked too saturated with the profile that came with it.
Haven't had a chance to install the drivers or play around with the other features...
Every panel has it's advantages and disadvantages. I mean, you could say that the OLED panels are much better and all, but they're not even out yet.. when they're finally out for the consumer market (which could take a looooong time) I'm sure we'll be complaining about something else.
Wow.. sexiness right there. Just wonderin, where'd you get it hchristian? Are you a reviewer? On the website it still says comin Dec. 11.
But damn.. this is great, but I think there's only going to be 500 units produced
"There will be only 500 of the Black edition cases offered in the...
Cool, thanks for clearing that up 10e.
I'll post some feedback when I get the monitor, I'm using A VX924 right now so I should be able to tell whether I'm able to tolerate the input lag or not pretty quick I think.. which seems to be the big question/problem everyone has.
