Oh, well if they are the same price wherever your buying them, definitely get the OCZ. They are basically equivalent in terms of quality, but the OCZ is faster.
Let it run at the SPD. I bet if you change from 1T to 2T, you'll get no errors and you'll even be able to tighten your timings. I built two computers for people recently on the P5N-E SLI and I couldn't get 100% reliable operation at 1T at all. I guarantee it'll be fixed once you switch to 2T.
Hey all. I've been looking at getting the Corsair Dominator PC8500. Recently, alot of people seem to recommending the Patriot and the Crucial PC8500. Does any 1 of these 3 really stand out from the others?
Also, I seem to see a lot of people recommending just sticking to PC6400...
I think it is the RAM's fault if it needed to be at 2.2 and it was at 1.8. From my experiences, undervolted RAM acts just like bad RAM or RAM that's way too OCed.
Well, right now on NewEgg, with rebates, the Corsair is $179 and the Patriot is $195. I'll look around though and see what kind of review the Patriot gets.
Will do. I graduate college on the 18th. My money from everyone is getting me a new PC finally. My last PC was a high school graduation gift. Only upgrade has been a 6800 Ultra :(.
Abit AB9 QuadGT
Intel Core 2 Duo E6320
Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066 2GB (2x1GB)
eVGA nVidia GeForce...
How is the stock NB cooling on this thing? I was thinking of upgrading to the Thermalright HR-05, but it looks like I'll have to remove the cooling from the mosfets too, and I don't wanna do that at all :(
I'll be buying this board on the 19th I think.
Thanks. I have no intention of going SLI... ever. I was just sticking to nVidia because they are all I've ever bought. I never had an Intel chip anyways, let alone an Intel chipset. I'll check around for a thread on the Quad GT.
I've seen that Silverstone one around. The build quality on it looks amazing. But it's got the PSU at the bottom, which drives me nuts. It also has a fan in a weird spot. Otherwise it looks like a sweet case, but for the money, not worth it for me personally. I am really liking that NZXT...
