    CPU upgrade on dv8000

    Thanks for the reply. Not worried about the warranty. It'll be out before I would do this swap anyhow. I know it's not soldered onto the motherboard. It's a ZIF socket. (I've seen pictures of the motherboard) Probably will contact HP....though I expect the response that it's not upgradeable.

    I have a dv8225nr, essentially the same laptop. In the BIOS, there should be an option for Sideport. You can change it there.
