Well, I don't use any replacements...but I use the "All Apps" start menu and I got my windows 8.1 to boot directly to desktop!! I like the modern UI though it has some bugs!!

well, softforum.com is a korean website and i dont know korean!! :P Well, I'm an amateur at gaming and i have a 2.9Ghz Core 2 duo right now... 3.4Ghz Quad Core is enough for me....I'll think of overclocking after some years!! :D

Are there chances of psu getting fried?

Then I'm trying to run the PC...

The fan has been mounted on the motherboard easily but I'm not sure if it will run or not. Btw are there any chances of cpu or heatsink being fried?

Also, how to check that the heatsink is working or not? it is stock intel fan.

Actually my core 2 duo cpu heatsink was damaged, so i went to a computer shop where they gave me a second generation i3 fan. But I'm afraid that the heatsink will not work on my lga775 motherboard. please help!:(

I have a core 2 duo cpu. Two of its heatsink clips are broken...can the pc run? Also, where can i get the clips of the heatsink or should i buy a new heatsink?(btw it is the stock one!!) Thanks!!
