    I agree with Jasonx82. The power supply has more than enough juice for this rig. If in doubt get a kill-a-watt and test for yourself. My suggestion would be to return the video card and try a different brand.

    Well, considering most wall air conditioners and dish heaters use about 1500 watts this is probably a slight exaggeration. Of course it's a nice sentiment to think uber computers like dual quads have the power to interrupt the daily flow of our tax paying neighbors, it isn't quite a reality (yet).

    If you turn off most of the lights in your house and leave like one fluorescent bulb on in the hall or somewhere you'd save a lot more money... but perhaps you already do that.
