Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I agree with Jasonx82. The power supply has more than enough juice for this rig. If in doubt get a kill-a-watt and test for yourself.
My suggestion would be to return the video card and try a different brand.
Well, considering most wall air conditioners and dish heaters use about 1500 watts this is probably a slight exaggeration. Of course it's a nice sentiment to think uber computers like dual quads have the power to interrupt the daily flow of our tax paying neighbors, it isn't quite a reality (yet).
Poor AMD....... I still remember being an AMD advocate only a few years ago when intel was sucking with its hyperthreading Pentium 4/D lameness.
Core2 pwned AMD. =(
If you turn off most of the lights in your house and leave like one fluorescent bulb on in the hall or somewhere you'd save a lot more money... but perhaps you already do that. I don't think the CPU is really gonna heat up your room all that much, maybe you're just experiencing a heat wave in...
Hey man... I can't deal with the 3007wfps noisy power supply. I am really crazy and into silent computing and probably have one of the quietest rooms/computers because it just helps me focus a whole lot better to have silence when I need it. So, 3007wfp is a no good. I realize some people...
Love my old 2407wfp (nonHC)... it's been the perfect monitor for like 2 years now. I think it's really funny how companies like Dell somehow manage to take 1 step forward and 2 steps back with each product they make. The 2407wfp was a completely awesome monitor, the HC introduced a bunch of...
@Crucible1001
Kinda confused, I already know my panels are S-IPS. I said so in the beginning...
"I wound up with 3 S-IPS panels, all A05, manufacture dates June, July, and July 2008, respectively. So they're all relatively new off the assembly line and what not and probably the best...
@Lancer
They're FP, not WFP. FP's are 1600x1200. I agree with jcv that 2208wfp sounds like a bad move, don't the 22" screens use PVA panels?
@jcvjcvjcvjcv
All 3 end in L and have panel codes V1B22 HN210... They're all LG S-IPS panels, I think.
Right now I actually put one away and have...
First post on hardforum... I registered here because it seems like a good place to complain about monitor problems =)
I've had a Dell 2407wfp for about 2 years now, and absolutely think its a great monitor. Lately Ive been trying to increase the size of my desktop real estate. My first...
