    Supermicro X10SAT

Hello RyC, Did you check if the BIOS had the feature of waking up the pc automatically at a certain date/time? This feature is fairly common on consumer grade motherboards, but not in the Supermicro's it seems. The manual isn't of much help either. It doesn't even mention WOL at all...

[Q] LGA1155 motherboard with HDMI and IPMI

Let us know how you like vPro in the end! I'm in a similar situation and i'm torn between a IPMI and a vPro capable motherboard. Both have their pros and cons, but i like the better connectivity options of the vPro. I'm just not sure if vPro will do what i want in the end (mainly remote power...

Your home ESX server lab hardware specs?

I don't have a strict budget really but, Hard Drives and GPU aside, i should be looking at around € 700-800 max. Unfortunately i'm in Europe and computer parts are significantly more expensive here. I don't want to go way offtopic here but, is there any reason/advantage to choose...

Your home ESX server lab hardware specs?

Thanks, i seen those before but i guess i should have paid more attention  Back to square one :D Options: a) Go the AMD or Ivy Bridge route; b) Start looking at XenServer; c) Keep reading lol All i want is to play around with virtualization a bit and collapse my media server /...

Your home ESX server lab hardware specs?

Are you absolutely sure about this? I just started reading about virtualization and had a Haswell build planned, but buying a controller wasn't in my immediate plans (and budget). I was relying in the passthrough of one of the onboard sata controllers, as i've read this was possible in some Ivy...

Intel's NUC (smaller than ITX) Socket 1155

I don't see Intel releasing a Haswell version of the NUC until late 2013. This version is just too new to have them releasing a new version that will compete with their own product.

    MX239H or U2412M?

Thanks for the reply. I'm in Europe and here you'll find all sorts of price distortions :D Where i'm buying it, they cost almost the same (around € 250 ~ $330). It's not that i'm picky about displays (i'm used to "crap" laptop monitors for over a decade now), but i want to make the best...

    MX239H or U2412M?

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new display but i'm having a hard time deciding between the 23'' Asus MX239H and the 24'' Dell UltraSharp U2412M IPS monitors. I know the Dell seems to have backlight bleed problems, but i'm unable to find reviews about the Asus either... I would say my...

Silverstone Modular 450W SFX (ST45SF-G) - Now has a product page - NextQ = When?

I see an increasing number of people complaining about Silverstone PSU's fan noisiness, no matter which model. That's my contribution to the thread, that's all.

Good air cooler that work with the ASRock Z77E-ITX?

Nop. Note that you will need more than 70mm of available place (45mm for the heatsink + 25mm for the fan) and the RAM needs to be of "regular" size (~42mm or so). This is for a HTPC with no overclocking needed though. I'm in Europe and the Samuel wasn't that hard to find locally.
