    I've had great experience with WD Golds. 20 plus in the last 5 years with zero failures! 5 year warranty & a few bucks less than Blacks for some reason. I have heard that WD is going to discontinue them and replace with Hitachi branded enterprise Helium drives.

    Appears as though you have bad memory slots but could be the memory controller in the CPU also. You should run Memtest with the pairs to verify that the memory is in fact good!

    I second the choice of the Fractal R6 but would go with the silent Edition. Solid side panels with sound deadening material through out, capable of a massive number of drives. Also agree with the 970 EVO as your boot disc. For storage a 2TB WD Gold is only $113. I would stay with the 850 PSU...
