Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have a very very small case, and the upper end of what I can fit is 9.8 inches. I currently have an ATI 4890 which has served me well up until today when I tried to play The Witcher 2. Can anyone help me find a good upgrade that will fit my case?
Well that's not where she bought it from. She bought it from fry's and there's a restocking fee. Final budget after all that would be $330 to not end up spending more.
And yeah I know you could get better for just a bit more money, but the budget is pretty strict.
Well I have an 8800 gt...
I like your build. I went with your recommendation except I dropped the hard drive down a notch.I have to make room for tax :(
I also will just pick up a case locally so I can check it out in person.
Mostly just gaming. They do play a lot of trashy browser games and stuff, but I think they would play a lot more PC games if the system could handle it. I'd like it to be able to run Source games well, for example.
Than this e-machine.
My mom just bought my nephews that e-machine because their old computer broke. I have a 8800gt sitting around and a copy of XP. Can you build a computer with better specs for $330 dollars?
I will not keep a monitor with a dead pixel. All 3 of mine are dead pixel free (and came that way).
I tend to pay the brick and mortar premium for my monitors because pixels, and backlight bleed, can vary immensely from monitor to monitor and all the stores around here have 30 day...
Does this apply only with purchases direct from dell, or also purchases of dell products from other vendors? For example, ebay (brand new, with warranty).
I don't want to risk getting stuck with dead or stuck pixels. I can't stand having any.
I want to get a 1920x1200 monitor for work for the extra viewing area. TNs viewing angle issues don't bother me, so I'm probably looking for a TN. My two main peeves with monitors are noticeable back light bleed, and banding on gradients.
Does anyone have a good monitor to recommend with the...
Does anyone still play that? Crysis is not a good reason to upgrade.

Lots of good games.
I've not had a driver issue in any game from either ATI or Nvidia for over 8 years. Drivers are a non-issue.
Good to know since I recently bought an XFX 4890.
I must say I was certain this would be a horror story. I mean, since when does anyone say anything nice on the internet? :P
Am I the only one who thinks these effects are pretty ugly for the most part? I mean the boxes weren't even destructible. Even half life 2 had destructible boxes.
I don't think PhysX is living up to its potential if all it can do is increase particle counts and do unconvincing water.
