    The only thing I can help you with is to tell you not to get the Logitech mic that plugs directly in your sound card. I have it and it's shit. I'm not sure about the usb version. **edit** I know a lot of people that have the Zalman clip-on mic and they say it's good.

    Utilizing home theater speakers for PC use?

    Sounds like all you need is a stereo receiver to power those two speakers off your PC. You can probably just use the 3.5mm jack (the green plug) on the back of your computer to your receiver. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Higher resolution and cursor speed.

    I was hoping someone that knew could answer this question for me. I recently got a new monitor increasing my resolution from 1280x1024 to 1680x1050. It feels like my mouse sensitivity has become a lot faster. Does this happen with higher resolutions or am I just paranoid?

    cleaning out dust?

    Depending on how much dust has accumulated inside your computer it can make a huge difference in performance and more importantly hardware temperatures by cleaning it out. My advice is to keep a can of compressed air handy and clean it out often.
